Lessons with Cecilia Dunoyer

Cecilia Dunoyer's teaching style emphasizes personal growth and nurtures the musicians within, while imparting thorough and pragmatic training in piano technique to facilitate and unleash musical expression free from physical tension.

With a profound knowledge of the physics of the instrument, the human body, piano technique and psychological aspects, Cecilia guides her students towards achieving dramatic improvements in practice and performance.

Her students have won and/or placed in Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) competitions, as well as regional and state concerto competitions.  Many have gone on to music schools, as well as prestigious colleges, including Yale, Harvard, MIT, and Princeton.

Cecilia Dunoyer is committed to making the performing arts - music in particular - an integral part of children's and adolescents' lives.  To that end, she was the Artistic Leadership of the Central Pennsylvania Youth Orchestra (CPYO) for 10 years in State College, PA and served as President of the Board of Directors of the Performing Arts School of Central Pennsylvania (PASCP).
